What's new today? A disclaimer. I really hate needing to put this here, but some people just can't let go of certain stereotypes and insist on applying them universally. So. You know those furries? The ones from that CSI episode? Or maybe the ones from that MTV show, or off of SomethingAwful, or /b/ or wherever else you've been hearing about them from? I'm not one of them. Got it? Good. "Furry" means a fan of anthropomorphic animals. "Fan" can be a euphemism, but just because it can be doesn't mean it always is. In my case, it isn't. Fan means fan. Like being a fan of Star Trek (Okay, maybe that's a bad example.) Like being a fan of The Lord of the Rings. Or Harry Potter. I think art that combines animal and human characteristics is interesting. People have been doing it since ancient Egypt. It's neat, and I happen to make my living making G rated only animal costumes. That's all. And hey, do you like Bugs Bunny or maybe The Lion King, or Pinky and the Brain? Well... Welcome to the fandom!
