There is probably not a person in the world that has not been touched, in one way or another, by the events of this day. The whole world has watched together as a symbol of America fell to the hands of terrorists. I know that the image of the towers falling is forever ingrained in me, and I doubt if it will ever grow dim. And rightly so! We should never forget this day. We must never forget when the towers fell, and we must never forget those people who fell with them.

Already many have made tributes to these men and women. On the internet, over television, or radio, we are remembering them. I had the privilege of hearing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir change a concert scheduled for that evening from an occasion of simple entertainment to a memorial to those who have fallen. On websites and message boards stories and pictures were displayed, businesses have shut down, everyday activities were interrupted for a moment of silence. This disaster has drawn the world closer. In every country people offer their sympathy, and many have reached out helping hands. Across America the flags are flown at half-mast, in remembrance.

Here I add my own tribute. I dedicate it to those who died and those who may yet die in this tragedy. And I dedicate it also to those who lived. To the families and friends who will have to face the challenge of going on, to the firemen and police officers, many of whom have already given their own lives to save as many as they could, to the thousands of you ordinary men and women who have stood in lines at blood drive, donated time and supplies, or just offered your prayers. May God bless us all. And may He recieve those who have fallen into His own loving arms.

I know I am not the only one who has strong feelings about that day. Here I have collected other tributes and memorials. I hope that as you view them you will be reminded not only of the tragedy, but also of the hope that has sprung from the ashes of that day. For out of the worst of human history often comes the best of humanity.
